I don’t know if this really has not dawned on people but the reason so many schools get shot up is because they are gun free zones. Ok, let’s say you are hardcore crazy and you plan to go do some damage, you are going to go to a place that you know, no one has a gun, there is no chance for someone to stop you until you do what you want. Colleges should allow sidearms just like everywhere else. People who carry a sidearm do not go nuts and flip out just because they have a gun. They are a 2nd line of defense against bad people. You have to look at it this way, anyone who carries has went to classes and training to do so. If you are in a restaurant and some wacko comes in and starts to shoot up the place and there is no police around, then that 28 year old construction worker who is trained with a sidearm is your next best hope of staying alive. People hate guns until they need one and then it becomes their best friend, i just choose to keep my best friend with me before i need it, nothing wrong with being prepared. No difference in that and car insurance, you don’t carry it looking for an accident, you have it in case an accident happens.
