Napoleon Dynamite |

I was watching I love the 80′s on VH1 earlier today, and then I started watching Napoleon Dynamite and I realized that if they do a show on VH1 in the future about 2005 or whatever year it was that it came out they would be making fun of everyone who impersonated it. This is one of those movies that was super popular for awhile and then just became not as funny anymore. I just think it is crazy how when something is popular everyone likes it, and then just over time it can become so dull!

I was looking in Craigslist for some home theater seating for the past couple of weeks. I finally found some listed in my area, and I went to the person’s house to look at it and I saw a roach on their floor! I decided that I was just going to save my money and purchase a new set after all that.

I watched this really old and kind of funny movie called Bad Taste last night. It was directed by Peter Jackson which is the same guy who directed Lord of the Rings. It is kind of funny to see his older work, especially this kind of movie because it was totally weird. I liked the movie though, I am not sure if it is one that I would purchase, but I probably would watch it again in the far future. If you like gross movies and alien movies Bad Taste is perfect for you.

Have you seen Wild Hogs yet? This is an absolutely hilarious movie – you have to see it. What a cast: John Travolta, William H. Macy, Tim Allen, and Martin Lawrence as four middle-aged guys who decide to go on a road trip on their motorcycles. Along the way, they get mixed up with a real motorcycle gang led by Ray Liotta. Be sure to watch the credits, too; there’s a funny bit about Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at the end.

Wanna buy a piece of American history? |

Peter Fonda, who produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 1969 movie Freedom Rider, wants to share some of his history. He is auctioning off some of the props from the film, including the American flag that was on the back of the jacket he wore and the gold record he won for the movie soundtrack. I’m sure that some film buffs will be happy to snatch that stuff right up.

The American Red Cross is running out of blood stores, and so they’re finding some unique ways to encourage people to donate a pint or two of the red stuff. Give blood and you can get some free movie tickets. Not only that, but you can be entered to win tickets to the Daytona 500. Pretty cool.

The United States Postal Service has revealed their latest commemorative stamp – and it’s none other than Jedi master Yoda. The Yoda stamp was a part of a stamp set of Star Wars characters, and when the public was asked to vote on their favorite pick for an individual stamp, Yoda won. Get your Yoda stamps before they’re gone.
