Barnes & Noble caves in |

I am so disgusted. Barnes & Noble has announced that they will carry the O. J. Simpson “hypothetical” confessional book If I Did It in their brick-and-mortar stores after all. Originally, they were only going to offer Simpson’s book online, and I thought that was bad enough. It’s a crappy thing when a business wants to make a profit off of a murderer’s confession.

Now, I’ve had me some serious chocolate cravings before. And I have dipped into my kids’ Halloween candy - with their permission. But Kendra Butts and Amber Martin of Wasilla, Alaska - I guess maybe they didn’t have kids to share with. So what did they do? They held some trick-or-treating kids at gun point - fired a shot into the air - and demanded they hand over their candy or else be killed.

Church secretary gets ticked at Comcast |

I can understand this woman’s frustration. Maybe not what she did to vent it, but I can feel her pain. She signs up for Comcast Triple Play - you know, phone service, cable, and high-speed internet all in one package. The tech doesn’t show up at the scheduled time. He comes two days later - and only does half the job. Then, on top of that, Comcast turns off her service two days later. The woman and her husband head to the Comcast office, and wait for two hours to see the manager. After the two hours, they are told that the manager has left for the day. Pretty crappy, right? Well, this church secretary isn’t taking it laying down. She went back to Comcast the following Monday, took hammer and started destroying office equipment.
